ASTHO President and Minnesota Commissioner of Health Edward Ehlinger, MD, MSPH has issued ASTHO's 2016 President’s Challenge: Advance Health Equity and Optimal Health for All. ASTHO seeks to empower state and territorial health agencies to take up this effort via the three objectives of the Triple Aim of Health Equity (see below). States can do so through a variety of channels, including policy development, cross-sector collaboration, and program implementation. A collection of success stories will be compiled to highlight health equity activities around the country. The pledge card can be accessed at the above link.
